We offer freight services for items which exceed the limits of small carriers due to size, weight or fragility. With a wide variety of freight services, we are able to ship almost any package to just about any corner of the world! At Parcel Room we have many freight carriers available to choose from. We look for choice, quality, affordability, and convenience from our freight carriers and pass the benefits along to our customers. We will select a freight carrier based on several factors; lift gate requirements, residential delivery options, notification and tracking services, inside delivery, air ride trucks, the carrier’s history of service, and more. We are dedicated to providing the best experience possible to its customers and partners with only the best freight carriers.

Parcel Room specializes in the packaging and shipping of furniture, antiques, electronics, trade show items, and heavy equipment. If it can be shipped, we can ship it (please keep it legal!). We frequently pack and ship items as freight that are too large to be handled by the small package carriers. We use pallets for most of our freight shipments, which allows us to reduce the packaging needed to keep the contents safe and secure. The pallet provides a buffer area between the items and the forklift, pallet jack, truck, and other shipments on the truck.

Freight Delivery services: We can offer a range of services from a simple sidewalk delivery to lift gate delivery, inside delivery, inside delivery with unpack, placement and even removal of the garbage. We also offer pick-up services when needed.

When we ship large items (furniture, art, antiques, etc.) to residences we plan the shipment carefully. We work with the customer and the consignee to set up the delivery to meet everyone’s needs and abilities. In most cases we arrange for the shipments to be delivered curbside. Depending on the weight of the shipment we will add a liftgate at delivery to assist in the unloading. When shipping to a business location we verify if they have a loading dock or forklift for the unloading, thus avoiding the additional fees for the liftgate.

Once we ship, we send the customer and the consignee the complete shipping information. This will give them the estimated arrival date, the carrier’s name, contact phone number, tracking number, what to expect from the carrier at delivery, and the tracking information.
