What is the difference between a private mailbox (PMB) at Parcel Room and a Post Office (PO) Box?
With a mailbox at Parcel Room, you get a real street address, not a P.O. Box number. If you’re a business owner, having a real street address as your mailbox can provide you with a professional image for your business. Using our address also means you are no giving out your home address to all your business contacts. Parcel Room also offers many additional services that the post office does not, such as package acceptance from all carriers, package notification via email and call in service, all aimed to save you valuable time.

What does my mailing address look like?
Your mailing address will be the address of Parcel Room's location, with either PMB (private mailbox) or the pound symbol (#) designating your individual box. Instead of "Parcel Room" your name appears first. Example: Joe Smith, 1465 Woodbury Ave PMB XXX, Portsmouth, NH 03801. It is important that you have your complete and correct, otherwise they may not be able to deliver. You cannot use other indicators such as "suite" or "Apt"nor "Ste"

What virtual mailbox sizes do you offer?
Mail received and scanned for Virtual mailboxes is stored in one of our "Small"-size boxes as part of the service. In the case of an overflow, the contents must be forwarded or shredded.

What is a mailbox service agreement?
The mailbox service agreement is an agreement between Parcel Room and the box holder for the duration you receive mail at our location.

Where can I sign up for a mailbox agreement?
You can visit the store and sign up in person or click here for the online application. If you don't open in person you must have the documents notarized by a US Notary.

What is the minimum length of an agreement?
Three months is the minimum opening rental period; after the first three months you have the option to renew monthly.

How much mail can I receive at my mailbox?
Mail received and scanned for Virtual mailboxes is stored in one of our "Small"-size boxes as part of the service. In the case of an overflow, the contents must be forwarded or shredded. Mailboxes that overflow frequently will be
subject to fees to cover the additional storage space used.

How do you know which letters I want opened?
If you expect a continued increase in the volume of mail you receive, you may wish to upgrade to a larger mailbox better suited for your needs. Please contact us so that we can make arrangements.

Can I receive packages in my mailbox? From which carriers?
You can receive packages from any carrier with your mailbox agreement. FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL and even freight carriers deliver to our location. In most cases we require additional fees for freight receiving.

Can you hold my mail if I am away?
Yes. We can hold your mail for you until you return from a long business trip or a relaxing vacation. We ask that you pick up your mail on a regular basis; please let us know if you will be away.

Can I call to check if I have mail?
Yes. Save time, save a trip. Call us to find out if you have mail. You can also email us at Shipping@ParcelRoom.com. We post to Twitter daily once the mail has been put up in the boxes. Please note that per security and privacy rules we cannot release any information about individual pieces of mail or who they are from.

Store business hours are Monday-Thursday 9:00AM-6:00PM, Friday 9:00AM-5:00PM, Saturday 9:00AM-2:00PM for package pick up.

Can other people receive mail at my mailbox?
You can add the names of up to 5 individuals/businesses authorized to receive mail at your mailbox. Each recipient will need to provide two valid forms of identification in order to complete the mandatory PS Form 1583. It is $5.00 to add a new name to an existing mailbox.

Can other people pick up mail at my virtual mailbox?
Mail stored for a Virtual mailbox can only be picked up by the boxholder(s). A photo ID may be required when mail is picked up.

Yes. We offer U.S. Postal Service stamps and other mail services. There is a service fee added to postal services and stamps.
​

Do you offer other USPS products?
Yes. In addition to postage stamps, Parcel Room also offers domestic and international services including Priority Mail®, Express Mail®, Parcel Post®, First Class®, Delivery Confirmation™, Certified Mail, and Return Receipt. Surcharges are applied to all Postal Services.

Your mail can be stored for as long as you need it. Holding of mail is free for the first 30 days, and if you need storage for a longer period of time, you can do so for a small additional monthly fee.

Do you accept both mail and package deliveries?
We accept mail, UPS, FedEx, DHL and even freight shipments. We will notify you each time we receive a package via email.

Our mail forwarding service ensures that you receive only the packages and letters you really want. You simply choose which items you want, where and when you want them sent, and we'll forward them on to you at any destination in the world! You can choose the service level of forwarding from First Class, Priority Mail, Priority Express, UPS, FedEx and DHL. The cost for forwarding is our regular shipping rates for the service requested plus $5.00 forwarding fee.

Can I set up for another person?
When adding an account for another person, they must fill out the US Postal 1583 form. If you will be receiving mail for an estate, please attach an executor’s letter as well.

All First class (and up) mail disposed of in our facility is securely and professionally shredded free-of-charge.
